 | Welcome to the Gregg Shorthand Group! | Dec 3, 2008 |
The Gregg Group was founded 22 May 2004, prompted by the lack of online shorthand resources. As the primary use for shorthand -- business and legal recording -- has waned in recent decades, we generally acclaim the skill as a hobby or personal tool. The purpose of the group is to promote the use of Gregg systems of shorthand by providing advice to beginners, support for students, and an association of users of this efficient, attractive, and enjoyable method of writing. There are only two rules: keep posts Gregg-related, and keep them kind. What do we mean by this? Read this post: Some Posting Rules. You can join this group by clicking on the Join this Group! link on the vertical bar on the left. If for some reason, you used to be able to read the postings, but cannot do so, rejoin the site. Membership to the group has advantages, as it lets you initiate posts and have access to exclusive contents only available to members. We have made a portion of the content available for general use so that you can get a feel for the site, however the site is updated constantly. The bar on the left also contains answers to some common questions. Take a look at them.
